Sony Xperia Z Ultra : Review and Specification
After the hitting the market with Xperia Z, Sony has came up with a Phablet named Xperia Z Ultra. Sony has announced the release of this phone in September, 2013.Sony Xperia Z Ultra is world's slimmest HD Phone.

This phablet Xperia Z Ultra is the slimmest smartphone in the world having dimensions of 179.4 x 92.2 x 6.5 mm and screen size of 6.4 inches which is larger than Samsung Note 2 (5.5 inches) and has weight around 212g. It has capacitive touchscreen display, 16M colors with 1080 x 1920 pixels and pixel density of ~342 ppi which is less than Xperia Z (~441 ppi) but still more than Samsung Note 2 (~267 ppi). The new thing in this phone is use of ‘Triluminos’ display with X-Reality that creates a wider palette of rich natural colors. Whatever you see on Xperia Z Ultra’s large screen, it is examined and selectively processed to give crystal clear pictures.

Like Xperia Z, Xperia Z Ultra is water and dust resistant certified by IP55 and IP58. It can withstand water jets at low pressure in accordance to IP55 and can be kept under water up to 1.5 meter and 30 minutes in accordance to IP58.
Processor And OS
Along with toughness and durability, this smartphone has high processing speed. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad-core 2.2 GHz Krait 400 CPU with 2 GB RAM and integrated with Adreno 330 GPU for fast simultaneous processing and smooth running of heavy applications and high graphic games like Asphalt series, The Amazing Spider Man, etc. The phone will run the latest Android OS, v4.2 (jelly bean).

This smartphone has 8 MP primary camera having 3264 x 2448 pixels which is less than Xperia Z and integrated with Exmor RS technology. Exmor RS is the world’s first image sensor with HDR video for smartphones. It captures photos and videos in true colors under any light. With HDR technology, you can capture crystal clear images with low noise against strong backlight. It also has secondary front camera of 2 MP which also captures HDR photos. Both front and rear cameras can record video with 1080p@30fps. As it is water and dust resistant phone, you can also capture photos and videos in wet and dusty conditions.

Like xperia Z, the phone has some miscellaneous features like Wifi direct, Wifi Hotspot, USB on-the-Go, NFC card compatibility, stereo FM radio with RDS and few sensors like accelerometer gyro, proximity and compass. It does not have infrared port.

With high configurations and purpose, Sony has made this smartphone with Non-removable Li-Ion 3050 mAh battery along with STAMINA mode feature. Some applications runs in the background even if the display is turned off and we are not using the phone. STAMINA mode recognizes those applications and automatically turned them off. When we turn on the display, it automatically starts those applications again.
In Market World
Going over colors, this smartphone will be available in the market in three colors i.e black, white and purple. With such high configurations and cool features, this smartphone is expected to have price of £599 in UK, €719 in Europe and Rs. 40,000 INR in India.
