Android 4.4, KitKat - Features and Release.


Google has announced the release of Android 4.4 named KitKat while everybody was expecting Android 5.0, Key Lime Pie which was expected to release in October 2013. Still Android 4.3, Jelly Bean is not yet released to upgradable smartphones except Nexus phones and tablets. Hence, the hopes are high to have the first look of Android 4.4 in Nexus series.

 
Android 4.4, KitKat

Google hasn’t declared about its features yet but it is rumored that KitKat will also be available to Android devices with lower RAM such as 512 MB and running older version of Android, 2.3 Gigerbread.

Google has given hint that upcoming Nexus installment may come with Android 4.4 having features similar to KitKat chocolate. They may have following features.


  • It may have tri-core CPU as thin as KitKat wafer.
  • It would work great with landscape and portrait orientation.
  • It might be cloud based. Still it hasn’t declared whether it will be Google cloud or separate cloud system for Android.
  • It would be 10 mm thick, 1 finger long and 4 fingers wide as KitKat chocolate.
  • It would have edge to edge display like KitKat Chocolate for user convenience so to enjoy both at work and play.
  • It could be virtually weightless or we could say it would have lesser weight as KitKat have.
  • It would have better battery life and optimization.

Android is having huge market running in more than 1 billion smartphones and tablets worldwide. It may come with more advanced updates and users too don’t expect less from Google. You can experience and get to know more about Android 4.4, KitKat features once it will hit the market. It is expected to launch in October or November.
